The task of the project is to analyze the structural of the tower based on
archaeological excavations and to identify the factors that pose the greatest threat to
its stability. To determine this, knowledge of the exact geometry is necessary;
therefore, we will teach participants a simple method of photogrammetric surveying,
which will also be helpful during subsequent surveying and documentation work.
Organizing the collected data into a study and photographic documentation forms
the backbone of the written portion of the thesis, while the design task involves
creating a support-and-viewing structure that incorporates exciting structural
solutions.
We are announcing this project in collaboration with the Department of Explorative
Architecture, and the Institute of Archaeology at PPKE—which is currently
conducting active archaeological excavations in the area—will assist us in compiling
background materials and the research knowledge base.
