Geometry of land plot mosaics
The land plot network of a settlement is a living record of its past development. The geometric and topological features of the network provide information about the history and development of the settlement. The aim of the research is to explore the mathematical concept of ‘mosaics’ which can be used to describe land plot structures, and to explore the relationship between mosaic characteristics and the past of the settlement.
